What we collect
Account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name. Photos: the photos you submit for grading are sent to our server and to our AI provider to produce the result, then deleted from our job queue when the result is ready. Records: the stock, sales and device records you log, and the yard names you type. Shared prices: if you leave it on, when you record a sale we anonymously share the grade, price per pound, yard and your area (first 3 digits of your ZIP) to show local prices. Your name and email are never shared. Billing: handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number. Usage: how many scans you use each month, so we can apply plan limits. Location: only if you tap "Use my location" to find yards nearby; we don't store it.
How we use it
To run MetalMint, sync your records across your devices, apply plan limits, process payments, and fix problems. We don't sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run MetalMint for us: Google Firebase (sign-in and database), Google Maps Platform (nearby yards), Netlify (hosting), Anthropic (AI photo analysis) and Stripe (payments). If you join a crew, your crew's shared records, and your name or email on entries you log, are visible to that crew.
Storage on your phone
MetalMint saves your yard prices, ZIP code, language, theme and offline records in your browser. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Your choices
You can export your records as a CSV on paid plans, delete individual records anytime, turn off shared prices in your account, and ask us to delete your account and data by contacting us.
Children
MetalMint is not meant for anyone under 18.
