Using MetalMint
MetalMint is operated by Rosado Recycle, LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using MetalMint you agree to these terms.
Estimates only
Metal identification, grades, weights, prices and payouts shown in MetalMint are estimates made by software from photos and the information you enter. They can be wrong. Scrap yards, buyers and jewelers set their own prices and grades, and the buyer's scale and grading decide what you are paid. Do not rely on MetalMint as proof of what material is or what it is worth.
Safety
Taking apart electronics and handling scrap can be dangerous. Batteries, capacitors, sharp edges, refrigerants, lead and other hazards can cause injury, fire or exposure. You are responsible for your own safety and for following local laws on handling, transporting and disposing of materials. Follow the safety notes in MetalMint and stop if you are unsure.
Precious metals
MetalMint does not test or value gold, silver, platinum or palladium. Take those items to a jeweler or licensed buyer with proper testing equipment.
Your account and records
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for the accuracy of the stock and sales records you enter. Crew owners control who can join their crew and can remove members. Records logged to a crew are visible to everyone in that crew.
Plans and billing
Free accounts include a limited number of scans each month. Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until canceled. You can cancel anytime from Manage billing in your account; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe. Paid plans include fair-use limits to prevent abuse. Prices can change with notice before your next renewal.
Acceptable use
Don't use MetalMint to deal in stolen material, to break the law, or to overload or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Disclaimer and limits
MetalMint is provided "as is" without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, Rosado Recycle, LLC is not liable for lost profits, mispriced sales, injuries from handling materials, or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
